Guidance Recommendations

The Ministry of Health’s Drug Advisory Committee has recommended:

• Fluticasone furoate/umeclidinium/vilanterol (Trelegy Ellipta) 100/62.5/25 mcg (30 inhalations) and 200/62.5/25 mcg (30 inhalations) inhalation powder for treating asthma; and

• Fluticasone furoate/umeclidinium/vilanterol (Trelegy Ellipta) 100/62.5/25 mcg (30 inhalations) inhalation powder for treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Funding status

Fluticasone furoate/umeclidinium/vilanterol (Trelegy Ellipta) 100/62.5/25 mcg (30 inhalations) and 200/62.5/25 mcg (30 inhalations) inhalation powder are recommended for inclusion on the Standard Drug List (SDL) for the abovementioned indications from 1 April 2025.

SDL subsidy does not apply to any formulations or strengths of beclomethasone dipropionate/glycopyrronium/formoterol, budesonide/glycopyrronium/formoterol, mometasone furoate/glycopyrronium/indacaterol, or tiotropium.
